The Naked & Famous Denim Made in Japan collection is a series of limited-edition pieces crafted with the precision and care found only in Japan. No detail is overlooked: the collection features 100% iron buttons, copper rivets, hidden back pocket rivets, raised belt loops, Union Special chain-stitched hems, and a natural vegetable-tanned leather patch. The Tragic Blond logo has been reinterpreted by renowned comic artist Alvin Lee, known for his work in both comics and video games, who reimagines the icon in a Japanese manga style. The denim is sourced in small batches from top Japanese mills, selected for its texture and depth. Mechanical finishing processes such as sanforizing, singeing, and anti-skewing are deliberately avoided—instead, a traditional Tempi wash is used to preshrink the fabric while preserving its natural character and irregularity.
