We wanted something that felt like Arctic snow, crisp, bright, and pure. And while people often assume white denim is easier to make because it skips the rope-dyeing process, the truth is it’s actually much harder to produce. Before any white denim can be woven, the entire factory has to undergo a deep cleaning. Machines, air systems, every surface has to be cleared of lingering indigo dust to prevent contamination. It’s a serious process, and one that makes the Iceberg Selvedge a true labor of love from the weaving mill. The result is denim that feels clean, fresh, and uncompromising.
Even with its modern twist, this denim keeps heritage details intact. It features a red-white-red selvedge ID, chain stitch hems sewn on the vintage Union Special 43200G "Bulldog" machine, and a natural vegetable-tanned leather patch that will darken beautifully with age. It’s the kind of pair that only gets better the more you wear it, blending traditional craftsmanship with a standout look.
One of the common issues with lightweight white denim is that it’s often translucent. You put on a pair, and suddenly your black underwear or pocket bags are visible, not ideal.
