The Sakura Sky Selvedge is inspired by the stunning colors of the Japanese cherry blossom (Sakura) season. The sky-blue exterior warp combined with the cherry blossom pink interior weft creates a beautiful contrast that is a treat for the eyes. The weft also peeks through the twill lines on the front face of the fabric, giving the denim a rosy glow, which is an ode to the delicate petals of the sakura tree.
The Sakura Sky Selvedge is woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan, and features a redline selvedge ID. The denim has a classic raw crisp texture but also has a soft drape that gets even softer with age and wear. The fabric is then cut, sewn, in Canada with great attention to detail. You’ll find contrast stitching, an english tan leather patch, and silver metallic buttons and rivets which pair with the denim perfectly.
